What are some notable discoveries made by private investigators or detectives?
History shows that private investigators (the term detectives is usually associated with the law enforcement community, not PIs) have made some significant discoveries over the past many decades.
Here is a list you can research without our comment other than a bit of history in number one. You will find that private investigators played a role in all of these albeit, some larger than others:
1.) Watergate Scandal in 1972. On June 15, 1972, I was with John Dean in Manilla, Philippines, working as a federal agent. President Nixon called Mr. Dean, advising him about ""Watergate"" and told him to return immediately to Washington, D.C. Mr. Dean served as President Nixon's White House Counsel.
2.) O.J. Simpson Case in 1994.
3.) Lindbergh Baby Kidnappping in 1932.
4.) Jeffrey Epstein's Crimes in 2019.
5.) Elizabeth Holmes in 2015.
6.) Enron Fraud in 2000’s.
7.) Ross Ulbricht/Silk Road in 2018.
8.) Bernie Madoff in 2008. (They should have listened to a little-known PI who warned them about Mr. Madoff.)
9.) Casey Anthony in 2008.
10.) Amanda Knox in 2007.
11.) Robert Durst in 2000’s.
12.) Natalie Holloway in 2005.
13.) Herbert Baumeister in 1990’s.
14.) Madeleine McCann in 2007.
Good hunting and reading.
